JODY MASK

Jody Ray Mask was born in Longview, Texas. He grew up Indian Rock, a small community outside of Gilmer, Texas. As a Cum Laude graduate from Texas A&M University, Jody maintains a vast network of alumni resources. While at A&M, he earned numerous academic awards while serving multiple leadership roles in student organizations such as the Corps of Cadets. Jody continued his education by attending law school at the University of Houston.

While at UH, he was elected to serve as president of the Student Bar Association, was selected to represent the law school at numerous national trial competitions, was honored as the champion and best speaker in the Hippard Mock Trial Tournament, earned membership in Order of the Barristers, and was elected to serve as his class captain. A member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association, and the Houston Young Lawyers Association, Jody is admitted to practice before all State Courts in Texas and all United States District Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. Active in the community, Jody serves on the Lawyers in Public Schools Committee, Speakers Bureau Committee, and Fee Dispute Committee of the Houston Bar Association.

As an experienced trial lawyer, Jody has the ability and confidence to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of a client's case early in the litigation process. With jury trial experience in both state and federal court, his practice focuses on representing plaintiffs in all types of personal injury and employment issues. Jody began his legal career representing defendant employers in response to charges, investigations, and litigation involving discrimination claims arising under race, sex, sexual harassment, religion, national origin, and age. He also has significant experience in handling personal injury lawsuits, wage and hour issues, and labor-management relations. During his defense experience, he gained valuable insight and knowledge into how companies and insurers approach employment and personal injury lawsuits.
