Background
TCPJ provides a number of training sessions each year that are
designed to provide
probate court judges, their staff, and probate clerks with the material they need to
operate effectively and efficiently. Each session is designed to review current law
and practices of the probate courts throughout Texas in an effort to create a smooth
process for those involved with the courts, consistent with the requirements of Texas law.
Upcoming Workshops
TCPJ’s goal is to have three training sessions each year held in different locations
across Texas – one annual meeting, typically held in September, and two regional meetings
earlier in the year. Upcoming workshops include:
March 5-6, 2009, South Padre, Isla Grand Beach Resort
June 11-12, 2009, Galveston, Hotel Galvez
September 10-12, 2009, Dallas, Crowne Plaza Dallas

who Should attend a TCPJ workshop?
TCPJ workshops are targeted towards statutory probate judges other
judges with probate jurisdiction, and their
court staff. County clerks and attorneys working in the area of probate,
mental health, and guardianship will also find these workshops highly
informative and practical.
